About IDSA

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) represents more than 9,000 physicians, scientists, and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases. IDSA’s purpose is to improve the health of individuals, communities, and society by promoting excellence in patient care, education, research, public health, and prevention relating to infectious diseases.

Members of IDSA have completed a postdoctoral or equivalent training in infectious diseases or a related field such as HIV/AIDS, do most of their work in infectious diseases or a related field, or are enrolled in an ID Fellowship program.
