Dell, HP, and IBM hardware can be quoted uponl request. An Allscripts Hardware maintenance agreement will cover all equipment listed on the itemized contract customers sign with Allscripts. It covers any equipment faiure due to wear caused by normal use. The contract covers the field engineers travel expense, onsite labor, and any parts used to resolve the issue.

Tools and/or services offered to clients in order to achieve meaningful use of their EHR?
Allscripts will guarantee to our customers that our EHR solutions will meet the Meaningful Use certification criteria. If not, Allscripts will credit a customer up to 12 months of support fees. We are committing that for every month our software does not meet the criteria, we will credit that month’s service fees. Please note, this only applies to our Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA) and does not apply to license fees, third-party software fees or implementation fees.

An Allscripts Implementation Consultant is assigned to provide assistance and guidance for workflow and decision making, and provides required Q&A sessions throughout the implementation process. Implementation Consultants provide assistance to understand current workflow and expectations for the new system, and how to incorporate those factors into change management. As setup and usage is reviewed, workflow discussions will incorporate new processes in accordance with practice needs.

For ongoing training, we provide Allscripts Academy, an education portal for our customers available by subscription. Allscripts Academy offers comprehensive training for new regulatory requirements, new release enhancements, and helpful sessions to build competency within the EHR and PM solutions. It is available 24/7 and provides the opportunity for staff to take online instruction, apply the new skills in the clinical environment and return if necessary to training to reinforce skills.

Drug allergies are documented in the patient's allergy history. When a prescription is written, the application automatically performs a cross reference against the patient's allergy history and generates alerts immediately when the medication is selected.

Allscripts provides on-site support during Go-live. Depending on the number of staff members, locations, and Go-live schedule, additional Allscripts staff may be assigned to support your office.

Allscripts hosts a national User Group Conference for users to exchange information, learn new features and optimize use. The conference includes panel discussions, specialty-specific roundtables, product training sessions and a hands-on support area.
What are the standard hours of operation during which support is provided?
Allscripts regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm local time for the client, exclusive of published Allscripts holidays.
What are the steps for a client to escalate a support request?
Problems that are determined to be in Priority Level “Down” will be managed as expeditiously as possible, using the company’s best efforts consistent with sound commercial business practices to correct such error, malfunction or defect in the software components or software patch or bypass around an error. Priority Level “Down” problems are defined as those problems which have an entire system disabled, such as the System is unresponsive to all users seeking application access.

New releases are provided at no charge to clients current on payments and receiving software maintenance services. Maintenance is provided for current and immediately preceding releases or releases made available in the immediately preceding 12 mths.

Clients can utilize the Allscripts client website for the online management of support requests, enhancement requests, training schedules & product documentation downloads, as well as company news & communications.
How are drug interaction tools updated in your system?
Allscripts MyWay is fully integrated with E-Prescribing which provides real-time alerts for drug-drug interactions and drug allergy contraindications. This occurs when the E-Prescribing is invoked after the prescription is keyed.
How are patient education materials updated in your system?
Decision support for medications is from FDB, health maintenance and preventive services are ICD-9 and/or CPT based. ICD and CPT are updated annually, FDB is quarterly.
How are requests from clients handle for customizations of their system post “go-live”?
Allscripts encourages continuous user feedback. Users can submit product enhancement requests at any time through the Client Website. Requests are compiled, prioritized and finally voted upon by the Physician Advisory Board during its annual meeting.
Is remote monitoring available with the ability to alert clients about system problems?

Allscripts provides Allscripts Safeguard. Allscripts SafeGuard is a service-based approach to proactive technical support that alerts Allscripts to potential problems before they may affect your practice.
What is your recommended backup strategy?
The SQL Maintenance Scheduler periodically saves database updates to flat disk files throughout the day. A nightly backup process such as Symantec Backup Exec is run each night to save the flat files to a tape or external disk location. This method of backup permits the database to be up and running without interruption 24 hours per day. The SQL backup file (.bak) can be restored to the SQL database if data restoration is required.
Do you offer remote backup for a client's system?

A full copy of all customer data is maintained in both our primary and secondary data centers. In addition, a backup of log data is shipped from our primary to secondary center every half hour, where it is restored to the secondary database.
When an interface goes down, how is that information recovered?
When an interface goes down, the information is not lost. It remains queued until transmitted.

MyWay comes with pre-designed/built reports to accommodate daily workflow and standard reporting needs. Users can modify the output based upon search criteria/fields and can save search criteria in order to re-run that report.
