How are drug allergies and adverse reactions recorded and integrated into the prescribing module? Users can maintain a list of the patient allergies specific to brand name, generic name, ingredients, and medication group. The adverse reactions are checked using a SNOMED dataset. If an interaction is detected, the system displays a warning message which notes the severity of the intereaction. Users are then required to confirm they want to prescribe the drug. MicroMD EMR also features integrated PDR tools to allow providers to quickly access drug information, avaiable patient coupons and to report Adverse Events.

Template customizations and default setting assistance can be requested through client support; pricing provided by sales. Product enhancement idea can be submitted by clients through My Voice for MicroMD, a private MicroMD user forum for clients to submit feature ideas and vote on enhancement ideas. A product review committee meets regularly to review client requests and plan for programming and launch of enhancements.
Is remote monitoring available with the ability to alert clients about system problems? No
We do not currently offer a purchased service to proactively, remotely network and device monitoring services.
What is your recommended backup strategy? MicroMD recommends, at a minimum a full, daily onsite backup with an offsite, cloud-based data backup to ensure quick data recory in the event of a disaster, as well as weekly system reboot.

When an interface goes down, how is that information recovered? MicroMD applications offer audit logs that trace transaction/files that are sent from and received into MicroMD EMR. In the event the sending or receiving system has an outage, transactions are queued for distribution or receipt upon resolution of the outage or in some cases, can be manually resent as a batch process.
