I'm not happy with our EHR. I'm close to retirement. If it hadn't been purchased by me with then office manager, I would not be involved. My recommendation for EHR is to wait until the very last day before EHR must be installed, then lock the door and get another job. |

The whole concept of integrated EHR's to facilitate care and eliminate extra testing is an unmitigated lie. In Kansas City there are at least 6 different hospital systems and not one of them will speak to the other, electronically or otherwise. There is no savings achieved. The record itself in the office is definitely NOT a time saver. Each item needs to be opened separately. There is no ongoing easily reviewed problem list. I still have paper charts to look at rather than the electronic record. |
