AmericanEHR’s co-founder and CEO, Thomas Stringham, and our parent company, Cientis Technologies, have both been nominated for the Health 2.0 Global Retrospective Awards. As part of the Health 2.0 conference’s 10th anniversary, 4 different award categories will be honoured to recognize top influencers from the world of Health 2.0: Industry Leaders, Tech Companies, Health Care Organizations, and Patient Activists.
Thomas has been nominated in the Industry Leaders Category and Cientis Technologies has been nominated in the Tech Companies category. The second round of voting is open for the public to help choose the final winners for the conference—submit your votes here.
Thomas has been creating innovative health IT solutions since the late 1990’s. Over that time he’s built mobile apps, online communities, and other interactive experiences to help reduce clinical administration and improve patient care. Under Thomas’ leadership, Cientis Technologies partnered with the American College of Physicians to build AmericanEHR in 2010.
AmericanEHR Partners is a free online resource designed to aid the medical community with the comparison, selection, implementation, and effective use of health information technology and electronic health records. AmericanEHR Partners has over 26,500 registered members and is supported by 19 partner medical societies and seven partner health IT organizations.
Cientis also develops innovative educational and mobile tools such as ACP’s Practice Advisor, the Immunization Advisor, and most recently the Health Alerts mobile app which pulls real-time data from top health organizations like CDC, FDA and WHO and sends users alerts as push notifications to their smart phone.
Over the last decade Health 2.0 has grown into a global movement including over 100,000 entrepreneurs, developers, and health care stakeholders, and 110+ chapters on six continents. Nomination for the Health 2.0 Global Retrospective Awards is quite a distinction. Winners will be showcased at Health 2.0′s 10th Annual Fall Conference in September in Santa Clara, CA.
