AmericanEHR Partners released two reports today (10/20/11) based on our extensive survey data from over 2,300 responses in collaboration with the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association of Medical Informatics, the Infectious Disease Society of America, and the Renal Physicians Association. One report (profiled in a separate blog post) includes data about the duration of training and satisfaction with EHRs, usability, and Meaningful Use. This companion report details EHR market share and Top 10 ratings by size of practice for 12 different categories (e.g. Satisfaction, Overall Usability, Prescribing, Implementation Experience, Training, Support Experience, Workflow Management, Order Management, Population Management, Interfaces, Billing, and Purchase Experience).
As AmericanEHR Partners grows, we expect to provide additional reports from a larger group of healthcare professionals. We continue to collect data on user satisfaction with EHRs, health information technology, and the intention to purchase EHR systems. Within the past four months, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Neurology, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology have joined the AmericanEHR Partners program. HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) also recently joined as a content partner. This growing number of collaborators will contribute the depth and breadth of data we can collect, analyze, and provide in order to advance the use of health information technology to improve care.
This free report, as well as the report about the correlation of training duration with usability, satisfaction, and Meaningful Use plus accompanying chart pack, can be downloaded by Registered Users of AmericanEHR here.
