As debt-ceiling talks heat up, there is certainly quite a bit of drama taking place along the six-mile stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue between the Capitol and the White House. However, the CompTIA Tech Summit in Washington, D.C., on August 4 promises to deliver high-level panelists and thoughtful discussion, particularly on healthcare IT.
From 9:00 a.m. to noon during its Healthcare IT track, IT solution providers, healthcare leaders, and policy-makers will discuss where the country is in accomplishing the HITECH Act’s ambitious goal to adopt health information technologies and where the electronic medical records transition stands. Attendees will gather information on what hurdles exist and where we can close the gaps.
Make sure to get a good seat early as Dr. Carolyn Clancy, the director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, will kick off the healthcare IT track with a keynote address. AHRQ is charged with evaluating the effectiveness of health policies and has distributed more than $300 million in grants and contracts in the healthcare IT space.
American EHR Partners is a partner for the event, and members can attend for free. At online registration, choose “Reseller Non-Member Resellers” from the Registration Type drop down menu and enter the promo code BK11AEHR when directed.
